Coming November 15!
One of Our Most Special Events of the Year is Just Around the Corner
You probably think we mean a play, right? No, we’re talking acronyms. The world is full of them: USPS, UPS, UNICEF, DFL, GOP, NFL, and don’t forget AAAA - our old acronym for Alexandria Area Arts Association - the Andria Theatre’s parent organization. We even make them up for our shows and events. WOZ was for the Wizard of Oz; AITP is the acronym for Art In The Park; STP is Student Theatre Project.
But what does GTTMD stand for in our world? Here are some hints: it is an acronym for one day out of the year in Minnesota; it has to do with fundraising; it is a call to action. It stands for Give To The Max Day and is the motto for a very special day in Minnesota when attention is drawn to the great works of the state’s nonprofit organizations. In 2018, Give To The Max Day is November 15.
This Year Your Donation Can Be Doubled
Thanks to a generous donor, your gifts will be matched up to $5,000
Andria Theatre is excited to announce a donor has given a $5,000 GTTMD matching gift to the theatre. We hope to raise the matching $5,000 on November 15 during our 24-Hour-Live-Facebook-Marathon for GTTMD! Go to the Andria Theatre page on Facebook. Each hour will feature a different event/person/activity. Have us on throughout the day and night. There will be prizes and, of course, much frivolity.
We hope you find the arts in your hearts
Many nonprofits across the state will be making appeals for funding on the 15th. Our philosophy at Andria Theatre is “It doesn’t matter who you give to, just please choose a nonprofit that touches your heart and support it.” Of course, we hope you find the arts that touch your heart are the live performance, community theater arts of Andria Theatre.
